Trajan H. Carney was born in Nashville, Tennessee on January 14, 1969. His practice primarily involves litigation in the following areas: construction law; general civil litigation; labor and employment law; business litigation; insurance coverage; and environmental law. He has represented owners, contractors, and subcontractors in a variety of construction related matters. Mr. Carney also has experience representing contractors in insurance coverage disputes involving commercial general liability policies. He represents both employers and employees in discrimination claims under state and federal laws. Additionally, Mr. Carney represents plaintiffs in personal injury and wrongful death matters.
Mr. Carney received his Doctorate of Jurisprudence from the University of Tennessee in 1999 and his LL.M. in International Legal Studies with a concentration in International Environmental Law from American University, Washington College of Law in 2006. He received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Tennessee in 1994.
Mr. Carney is admitted to the Tennessee Bar, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.
Mr. Carney is a member of the Nashville and Tennessee Bar Associations.
